Easy Mustang Mach-E Subwoofer Upgrade

This won't be as earth-shaking as a dedicated subwoofer amp and speaker, but it does provide a big improvement over the stock B&O subwoofer found in the Mach-E. Gives a real thump to the deep bass. It also has the benefit of not modifying any stock parts.

  • 16-gauge speaker wire
Instructions

  1. Connect one wire end to the connecter, using the top 2 holes, and black for negative
  2. Connect the other wire end to the subwoofer connectors
  3. Remove the rear deck and anything underneath that
  4. Remove the tailgate cover and side trim to get access to the subwoofer
  5. Place the new subwoofer in the empty cavity below the rear deck
  6. Unplug the stock subwoofer and connect the new subwoofer
  7. Replace the trim, cover, rear deck, and enjoy

    Hi! Thanks so much for this post. I'm planning to attempt this myself. 2 questions, have you run into any issues since you've been running this?

    Will this require panel pulling tools?

      Just a socket and hex wrench to remove the bottom kick plate at the hatch, with the 2 tie-down loops. Once that's off, you can pull the right side panel by hand and pop it back in to re-install.       The connectors didn't latch for me and would work loose over time, so I zip-tied them together.

Barrett Barbell Program

I'm terrible at catchy names. Who is this for? Anyone with some experience lifting weights that wants a bus bench (do this!) program with a self-limiting progression based on actual performance, built around the squat, hinge, and press movements. It's also based around 2 week cycles, so feedback is fast and it's good for those with program ADHD like myself (squirrel!). I consider this a beginner to intermediate program, not a program for chasing an 800 lb. deadlift. It was inspired in part by Jim Wendler's excellent 5/3/1 program along with other programs I've used in the past. Program Structure Lift weights 3 days per week. For example, Monday-Wednesday-Friday or Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday. Allow at least one day between lifting sessions for recovery.
